CA-CPT Overview

This is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. It develops conceptual understanding of the fundamentals of the financial accounting system, concepts in Mathematics and Statistics and application of the same as useful quantitative tools and to ensure a basic understanding of economic systems, economic behavior of individuals and organizations, general comprehension of elements of the mercantile law.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Select with the Institute (ICAI) for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) subsequent to passing class tenth examination

Show up in CPT examination subsequent to showing up in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) and after finish of 60 days from the date of enlistment for CPC with the Board of Studies before the first day of the month in which the examination is to be held, viz., understudies enrolled at the very latest first April/first October will be qualified to show up in June/December examination, all things considered.

CA-CPT Exemption

  • With effect from 3rd Aug 2012, CPT is exempted for the Graduates, Post Graduates and the students having equivalent degrees. Commerce graduates with 55% and other graduates with 60% can take direct admission for IPCC.

    An issue of shares and debentures, forfeiture of shares, re-issue of forfeited shares, the redemption of preference shares.
